Trade promotion agencies and export support
JAMPRO is Jamaica's national trade and investment promotion agency, offering free export readiness support, market intelligence and buyer connections for MSMEs.
Overview
You do not have to figure out exporting alone. JAMPRO (the Jamaica Promotions Corporation), operating under the brand Do Business Jamaica, is the government's trade and investment promotion agency and the natural first call for a small producer with export ambitions. JAMPRO helps you assess whether your product is export-ready, understand target-market requirements, find and vet overseas buyers, prepare for trade shows and navigate the certificate and permit maze by pointing you to the right agency. It focuses on priority sectors including agri-business, manufacturing, creative industries and services, exactly where Jamaican MSMEs are competitive. Alongside JAMPRO, the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) is the main private-sector body, and the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce runs export-readiness resources. Using these services early shortens the learning curve and helps you avoid the costly mistakes, wrong labels, missing certificates, unqualified buyers, that sink first shipments.
