Authorisation and permits

Certain goods (minerals, some agricultural commodities, wildlife, cultural items) need a specific export permit or licence in addition to general exporter registration.

Regulated exports need product- and sector-specific permits from agencies such as KEPHIS, AFA and the Kenya Fisheries Service, all issued through the single window.

Certain goods need an export licence from the Jamaica Trade Board, and preferential exports need a certificate of origin issued by the Trade Board or JAMPRO.

Restricted and controlled goods such as kava, plants, animal products and certain foods require an export permit or licence before clearance.

Beyond the export licence, restricted and regulated goods need product-specific permits and No-Objection Certificates from the relevant line agency.
